Fall 2023 Trend Report
Retro 60's and 70's looks, colorways, and details remain a key fashion element. For colors, tans, cognacs and browns are now commonly joined by brick red and rusty red. These are complemented well by forest green and olive colorways that have been trending for several seasons. Blues are making a reappearance with bold teal tints to set them apart and to stay fresh. Charcoal and mid-grey remain key neutrals to pull it all together.
Chunky patterned woven sweaters and cardigans are key cold-weather pieces as well as tailored wool coats in trench and car-coat lengths. Suedes in natural tones are a common layering piece and shirt jackets remain popular. Plaids are starting to make a comeback among neutrals and solids for brushed flannel shirts and heavier shirt jackets.
Quarter-zips mock necks remain a popular and practical go-to sweater style. Office and business looks are starting to get more dapper and woven shirts are making a comeback after several years of knits and knit shirts trending as a casual alternative. Trousers with details such as pleats and buckle tab closures are on the upswing. Drivers and mocs in suede are making a comeback and will be a key way to dress up for the next few years along with leather chelseas and chukkas.
